How can he walk free and continue on driving as if nothing happened?

Megan was at the start of what would have been a long and meaningful life and through no fault of her own was tragically killed. Accident investigator Sgt Adrian Stevens told the hearing: “Two children in brightly-coloured clothing on a warm summer’s evening should have been clearly visible. There was nothing in the road layout which would’ve caused the driver any difficulties. There’s no evidence to suggest the children were acting in an irresponsible manner. The driver had consumed a number of alcoholic drinks after work – more than the two pints of lager shandy he said he’d consumed.”
